Denver Storage Facility Installs Solar Panels

Greenbox Self Storage recently became the first solar powered storage facility in downtown Denver. In such an environmentally conscious city, the company hopes to position itself as an attractive public storage option for the kinds of people who already recycle, compost and carpool. Since installing the panels, the eco-friendly self storage location has also received an influx of positive public relations from national storage publications and regional newspapers alike.
Despite a high upfront cost, installing solar panels will not negatively affect the company's financial situation for long. According to Josh Fine, Vice President of Greenbox Self Storage's management company (Focus Property Group LLC), the investment will pay for itself in less than six years through energy savings.
